	ASTROLOGY : A Language of Life VOL II: SABIAN ASPECT ORBS by Robert Blaschke. Earthwalk pbk 243pp. R189.00 There are many routes that lead to the depths of a birth chart. This is a book about the route that uses aspects, and it is the only one that I have found that deals all the aspects in a systematic way. Aspects are introduced in "families" and each one is examined in terms of its waxing or waning quality, and case histories are given to illustrate how to interpret them. In addition, Sabian Symbols are introduced as a tool for grasping the meaning of each aspect. Sections include: A chapter each on: The Conjunction, Opposition, Trine, Square and Inconjunct A chapter each on: The Quintile, Sextile, Septile, Octile, Novile, Decile, and Undecile Families Obscure Harmonics and Other Applications
	THE HORARY REFERENCE BOOK Lillian Huber and Anne Ungar. ACS pbk 200pp. R95.00 I wonder how many feel like I do about Horary Astrology? It's a field of astrology I would love to practice with confidence, as it represents of way of working in the moment, on the edge, and in a way that can be exceptionally helpful. For this reason I was pleased to receive this book, which is a genuine keep-on-your-desk handbook, and it is reasonably priced. Chapters include: INTRODUCTION : Strictures against judgement; Special considerations CONTROVERSIAL AREAS : Universal Relationships, Derivation and Stepping. Mother/Father; Schools and Teachers; Ancestors; The stock exchange (and more than can be listed here) BASIC OUTLINE : A 12-step guide to use in the interpretation of the horary chart. An invaluable section. HOUSE RULERSHIPS : An alphabetical listing and a listing by house of hundreds of topics relating to each of the houses PARTS OF THE BODY : Signs and ruling planets for all the parts of the body. PLANETARY RULERSHIP IN HORARY : Another useful listing EXAMPLE CHARTS : Case histories covering the use of the both the direct and derivative house systems; Relationships such as step parents/non-blood family ties; Ex-spouse relationships. (My only regret regarding this section is that there are not more examples. They make facinating reading)

Depending on whether you want to get your man, keep him or bid him farewell, this book holds the answers to all your relationship questions. There is a wealth of information here. This book is detailed and technical enough to be of real value to serious students of astrology.
